	NA11	Art Nouveau Sterling Match Safe Holly & Berries 1900s. This fabulous Art Nouveau sterling silver match safe has a repoussé decoration of holly and berries. Both front and reverse are hallmarked STERLING at top of the base. Monogrammed LRC in an ornate script on front. Reverse is plain. Totally intact gold wash interior. Striker on bottom. No maker's mark that I can find. Though the item appears to be "pitted", I can't help but wonder if that isn't part of the original design since it definitely adds to the overall look as does the "blackened" hollows between the holly leaves and berries. 	5131462	Blackinton Silver & Silver Gilt Cigarette Case Early 1900s. A sterling silver cigarette case with silver gilt interior. The exterior is monogrammed/initialed with ornate script letters EIR. It has a rectangular form with rounded corners and a spring-hinged cover. Hinge cover opens with a push button which is secure with no play. Marks: STERLING, the horizontal sword (hilt on left) through the block letter B, for R. Blackinton & Co., North Attleboro, Massachusetts, and the number 303. The original B pierced by a sword trademark was used until 1900. Minor surface scratches and slight crazing commensurate with age.
