NN854Antique Victorian 18 Karat Etruscan Revival Micromosaic Pendant/Brooch. This minutely detailed micromosiac brooch set in an unusual gorgeous blue porcelain surround depicts the remains of the Roman Forum, a popular tourist site among the ancient ruins of Rome. It represents one of the finest early micromosaic items produced primarily for the developing 'tourist' trade of the Grand Tour era and likely dates to 1860 to 1880s. It is bezel set in an Etruscan Revival 18 karat (tests) gold pendant mounting with an applied twisted rope surround and a hanging elongated diamond shaped pendant with applied rope and bead design. Gorgeous Edwardian sterling silver pierced filigree link bracelet c. 1900 with machine stamped borders and a curved and arched center panel with swags of laurel "held in place" with flowers. The center has two square cut faceted sapphire blue glass stones and the sides of the center panel are set with sapphire blue triangular glass stones. Each of the 13 links has a center flower motif surrounded by ornate filigree work and machine stamped borders. The push in closure is released by two pins on either side of the link. A single row of 2 mm deep rich red fiery Bohemian rose cut garnets are bead set along the back band of this hinged rosy gold gilt metal (at times referred to as "garnet gold") bangle with a v-spring closure and safety chain. The front ornamentation is a raised central floret cluster made from seven bezel set rose cut garnets ranging in diameter from 5 mm to 6 mm flanked on ends with three 2 mm bezel set rose cut garnets in a triangular pattern and flanked on top and bottom with an additional 2 mm bezel set rose cut garnets. Surrounding the floret is a gently curved frame with bead set rose cut garnets which continue along the band to meet the back. All garnets are genuine gemstones and are a rich, dark red with brilliant flashes of bright red. Marked CECH.SLOV on the interior. Fabulous deep rich red fiery Bohemian rose cut garnets are bead set in this rosy gold gilt metal (at times referred to as “garnet gold”) link bracelet with a push button clasp closure. The center front ornamentation is an elaborate raised three-tiered floret cluster. The bottom layer has 10 scalloped edges wtih a 4 mm garnet at the end of each scallop and a central 4 mm garent surrounded by six 1 mm garnets. The middle tier has triangular segments of four 1 mm garnets set on each side with a 4 mm garnet. Rising above is a 10-sided star-shaped element set with 1 mm garnets surrounding a large 6 mm rose cut garnet. The center element is 1-3/8" in diameter and 1/2" deep. Subsequent florets flank each side of this beauty in graduated diameters. The box closure is hidden in a floret. All garnets are genuine gemstones and are a rich, dark red with brilliant flashes of bright red. circa 1880. length: 6-1/2", width: 1-3/8". Four rows of deep rich red fiery Bohemian rose cut garnets are bead set along four rows of this gorgeous hinged rosy gold gilt metal (at times referred to as “garnet gold”) Victorian bangle with a push button clasp closure and safety chain. The front of the bracelet measures 4" from the hinge to the closure and has a central arched area measuring 1-3/4" across and 5/8" deep with larger 3.5 mm bead set garnets. The remainder of the bracelet is set with 2.5 mm rose cut garnets. SK1053Antique Victorian Bohemian Garnet Necklace. Gorgeous antique Victorian c. 1880 with alternating rosettes and plaques on a gilt metal link (at times referred to as “garnet gold”) chain. The center plaque has a focal bezel set 7mm rose cut garnet surrounded by "rays" giving it an almost sun-like appearance. The center plaque measures 1-1/4" long by 3/4" wide. The balance of the chain alternates with 3/8" rosettes and 5/8" wide by 1" long plaques. The chain ends with a push button clasp hidden in a 7/16" circular closure. All garnets are genuine gemstones and are a rich, dark purpley red with brilliant flashes of bright red. Bohemian Garnets are real garnets (often imitated in glass) that were mined from a certain mountain region in Bohemia, now long exhausted of its garnets, never to be found again. They are characterized by their intensely rich deep red color. length: 17-3/4" Stunning on and so unusual! [There is a professional repair to the reverse at the top of the rosette on the right where the chain meets the first rosette.
