Superb rare Victorian hairwork bracelet in the form of a snake. This semi-rigid flexible bracelet is made completely of braided and tightly-woven light brown human hair terminating in a snake's head and tail. The braiding is in PERFECT condition; there are NO loose hairs. The mountings test 15 karat. The finely engraved snake's head is extremely detailed and the scales are indiivdually incised to mimic an actual snake's scales. The underside of the head is lightly engraved as well.
