Florenza's Fabulous Fakes

The following images are the various pieces of Florenza costume jewelry I have, along with the signature used on each piece. Larry Kasoff, surviving heir to the Florenza company, so kindly provided me with dating for the pieces pictured below.

This would be the oldest piece I have. It is signed on the face with the script Florenza marking and dates from the early 1950's. The watch works and the face also reads SWISS MADE. A gift from my sister for my birthday. (private collection)

c. 1960's signed FLORENZA © antique gold-tone watch pin with moveable hands each set with three pave clear round rhinestones. Reticulated Roman numerals and floral motif set atop a black plastic face. Hands held in place with red bezel set round rhinestone. width: 1-1/2", length: 2"  [SOLD]

Florenza watch pin

This pretty clamper bracelet is signed FLORENZA © and dates about 1965. It has an antiqued gold-tone finish set with a large creamy white pearl on each overlapping end. The simulated turquoise cabachons are the "buds" for the individual flowers set atop the band.

Florenza clamper bracelet

Signed FLORENZA © (inside bottom of pendant) and dating from about 1958 is this gold-tone linked chain necklace with domed open-work balloon-shaped pillbox pendant with bezel set synthetic turquoise and amethyst-colored glass. Tassle hangs from pillbox. chain length: 28"; pendant (including bale): length: 3-1/2", width: 1"  [SOLD]

A gift from my mother-in-law many years ago when I used to make all my clothes and knit all my sweaters! This little poodle pin cushion with a bobbing head is signed FLORENZA © and dates from 1955. It was made in five different finishes. The body of this particular example is antique white with a red rhinestone for each eye. A cutie!  (private collection)

A large emerald green rhinestone surrounded by a circle of light sapphire blue rhinestones is the focal point of this c. 1950's FLORENZA gun-metal maltese cross pin with light blue teardrop rhinestones at each quadrant accented with emerald green teardrops. book piece[See "Collectible Costume Jewelry Identification & Values", p. 166.] diameter: 2-3/4"
